This is a remote opportunity to work as a Production Support Engineer.
Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to support our complex applications. The successful candidate will provide technical direction, guidance, and strategic stakeholder relationships within the business units to ensure client satisfaction with IT design and development.
Key Responsibilities
* Participate in architectural discussions to evaluate proposed solutions and their applicability.
* Responsible for the support and implementation of solutions to ensure successful introduction across the organization and with clients.
* Perform technical analysis and prepare recommendations as needed.
* Act as the key liaison across all functional areas, including business units, the information technology department, and outside vendors.
The ideal candidate will possess a broad knowledge of technical skills, strong analytical, troubleshooting, and incident management skills. They will be able to effectively coordinate team members with supported businesses, facilitate decision-making, and arbitration relating to trade-offs within and between different solutions.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experience required.
* 5+ years of related production support experience required.
* Programming/scripting skills in Java, Python, C++, Django, etc., and ability to learn.
* Experience in various App/Networking Monitoring Tools (Splunk, Appdynamics, Prometheus, etc.).
* Strong interpersonal skills, proven ability to work with global teams, and growth mindset.
The ideal candidate will have advanced proficiency in DevOps, Agile, and Lean, business knowledge of securities, fund accounting, collateral, and tri-party repo preferred but not required. Experience in platform engineering, cloud, virtual, MQ, database, network, ITIL, service management is also preferred.
This role requires a self-starter and self-motivated individual who can prioritize accordingly depending on demands from businesses and app/dev teams. They should be comfortable talking to development, production, and infrastructure teams.
