The Sauce team pools together decades of restaurant tech experience, along with seasoned tech, sales, marketing, product and operations executives who produce an industry-changing delivery system for successful local restaurants and chains.We’re looking for a Lifecycle Marketing Manager to turn customer data into personalized, high-performing campaigns that drive reorders, retention, and long-term customer value—starting with email and expanding into SMS and push as needed. This person will support Sauce’s fast-growing Marketplace and Direct teams by scaling lifecycle efforts across segmentation, dynamic audience creation, triggered flows, experimentation, and performance analysis. You’ll own the full ESP and CRM suite including Twilio & their SendGrid product and be instrumental in building a scalable growth engine based on the proven success of our Marketplace campaigns.What You'll Do:Audience Segmentation & TargetingTranslate behavioral, transactional, and market-level data into usable audience listsPartner with Data teams or use tools like Databricks/Segment/SendGrid Automations to build dynamic, event-triggered audiencesCampaign Planning & ExecutionTake a lead role in strategizing and launching high-impact Marketplace and Direct campaigns, from concept through copy, design, testing, and schedulingManage the full lifecycle within our ESP, including automation workflows and manual sendsLifecycle Journey DesignBuild triggered flows for things like onboarding, winback, “days since last order,” new restaurant launches, seasonal events, etcThink beyond one-off sends—create experiences that move the needle on repeat behaviorExperimentation & OptimizationConstantly test subject lines, content, CTAs, timing, and formatUse campaign insights to launch repeatable playbooks that scale efficientlyReporting & InsightsTrack key metrics like open rate, CTR, conversion, revenue per send, etcBuild dashboards and share regular reporting (and learnings) to help prioritize what’s workingWhat You Bring:Must-Have:2-4 years of hands-on lifecycle or email marketing experience, including ownership of ESP tooling (e.g., SendGrid, Klaviyo, Iterable or Braze), segmentation, A/B testing, and performance reportingExecution-First Mindset: thrives on hands-on work; can follow direction yet steadily moves toward full autonomyBalanced Creative & Analytical Approach: equally comfortable writing compelling email copy and interpreting funnel metrics to inform next stepsESP Proficiency: proven, daily-use experience with at least one of: SendGrid (preferred), Klaviyo, Iterable, or BrazeData-Driven Segmentation: able to translate behavioral and transactional data into targeted audience lists without over-reliance on engineeringNice-to-Have:Basic HTML & Light SQL/Data Query Skills: can tweak email templates and pull simple queries independentlyDomain Familiarity: past work in foodtech, e-commerce, or marketplace environmentsSelf-Starter Capability: while not required on day one, shows potential to own strategy and “run with the context” as the role maturesRequested Technology & Equipment:Reliable personal computer or laptop with current softwareHigh-speed internet connectionKeyboard, mouse, webcam, and headset with microphonePrimary 24” monitor (second monitor recommended)What We Offer:Strong & Competitive Compensation PackageFlexible Work Environment10 Paid Personal/Vacation Days5 Paid Sick DaysMonthly Wellness StipendQuarterly Team Dinners & Events!The Opportunity to Build Something that Changes the Delivery Tech Industry for the Better!Sauce is an equal opportunity workplace and an affirmative action employer.
