The Technical Superintendent is the technical consultant responsible to the vessel management team consisting of captain, chief engineer and VSI and provides services to and monitors the vessels assigned and prepare and execute maintenance- and repair periods, according to global standards for Fleet Management and management contracts.Job ResponsibilitiesLeads by example through complying with all safety procedures and practices at all timesAll tasks are to be performed in accordance with the Fugro (Standard) Vessel Management System and Fleet Services Management SystemReports, administrates, and controls all responsibilities and tasks through the designated Computerized Management Systems (CMS)Services delivered in line with the Fugro (Standard) Vessel Management System and Fleet Services Management System Quality ManagementEnsures compliance with the Companies Quality standardsInternal projects and tasks to improve the company's performanceProject with good audit result performance Health Safety, Security & Environmental ManagementEnsures compliance with the Companies Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental protection policyVessels / Projects with good HSSE statistics Fleet Management Maintenance of assigned vessel(s)Ensures maintenance is in accordance with the applicable Rules & Regulations, industry standards and the Fugro Maintenance Strategy as agreed upon in the Ship management contractReviews all planned and repair work scopes reportedIs consulted by and advises the VSI and Chief Engineer on technical mattersContinuous preparation of Maintenance and Repair Periods and the budgets thereofWhen assigned, prepares and / or contributes to modificationsProper project execution in line with the agreed deliverables IT ManagementUpdates and maintains all vessel documentation in the CMSEnsures that the vessel specific data quality of the CMS system is in line with company standardsUp to date content of CMS systems Procurement ManagementJob RequirementsUnlimited Chief Engineer license or equivalent ExperiencePossess current driver's license with acceptable motor vehicle recordPossess or be able to obtain valid passportHave experience as a manager is preferredHave experience as asset manager, technical superintendent is preferredSeagoing or closely related experienceExperience with MS Office related softwareFluent in Portuguese and English verbally and in writing#J-18808-Ljbffr
