Primary responsibilities include teaching percussion courses (Applied Percussion, Percussion Ensemble, Percussion Methods), directing Jazz Combo, and teaching additional courses aligned with the candidate's experience and expertise, as assigned by the Director of the School of Music. This position requires close collaboration with School of Music faculty and includes instructional responsibilities on both the Brownsville and Edinburg campuses. The successful candidate will carry the standard academic teaching load for a three-year appointment at the Lecturer I rank, equivalent to a 5/5 teaching load.
