About Advanced Process Control
As a seasoned expert in industrial operations, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing business performance and driving bottom-line results.
We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Process Control Engineer to design, develop, and maintain advanced process control systems for industrial processes.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical engineering, process engineering, or electrical engineering, with a proven track record of working with OSIsoft PI Historian and Honeywell Experion PKS.
The successful applicant will be responsible for routine monitoring of APCs – troubleshooting, direct communication with Process Engineers and Panel operators, optimizing APCs, evaluating soft sensor performance.
In addition to their technical expertise, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and reporting skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders about APC performance – weekly reports, monthly KPIs.
Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and maintain advanced process control systems for industrial processes.
* Routine monitoring of APCs – troubleshooting, direct communication with Process Engineers and Panel operators, optimizing APCs, evaluating soft sensor performance.
* Reporting to stakeholders about APC performance – weekly reports, monthly KPIs.
* Development of new APC solutions, maintenance of existing applications.
* APC training of Operators and interested parties.
* Data analysis in Excel or SEEQ/Honeywell Suite products.
* Support software and hardware upgrade activities involving APC equipment.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
* Advanced Process Control (APC) Certification from recognized institutions or organizations.
* 3+ years experience with OSIsoft PI Historian in industrial or process control environment.
* 5+ years experience with Honeywell Experion PKS, ESVT/EST, TPS/TDC3000.
* Process controllers: C300, C200, HPM, APM. Third-party PLC/devices integration to DCS. Industrial Communication: Modbus RTU & TCP/IP, Serial Communication RS 485, RS 422, RS 232.
* Fault Tolerant Ethernet (FTE), Configure and Administer Windows domain.
* OPC connectivity between Process control servers and other 3rd party servers. MS Excel-macro based tools.
* Experience configuring, implementing and trouble-shooting process control schemes in Honeywell TDC3000.
