The primary role of a Practice is to boost Bain's knowledge and expertise in a particular sector or capability.

They are sought-after leaders with deep expertise who help drive Bain's business to the next level.WHERE YOU'LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAMAI, Insights and Solutions (AIS) is the Bain Practice responsible for defining the intellectual property, marketing and commercializing Bain's approach to data and analytics strategy, transformation, and operations.
AIS is a part of the Vector team and works closely with the Enterprise Technology practice to support our clients with all elements of their digital transformations.What You'll DoThe AIS Commercial Practice Director (PD) is the lead role in driving commercial support for the AIS practice, and the partner affiliates.
This role is critical in ensuring high quality, high velocity discussion materials for both client development and proposals.
In this role, your core responsibilities will include:Strategic LeadershipDevelop the annual Growth Agenda for the practice, as a thought partner for the Chief Commercial Growth Officer, including developing a set of sales plays that have proven effective in converting commercial opportunities in the AIS space, including marketing around hooks that are compelling for our clients, and ensure we are ready to provide bespoke approaches and solutions for clients as technology and use cases changeBuild strong relationships with interlock leaders in the AIS practice and industry sector Practice teams, and their leaders, to define a shared agenda on the products/solutions that are most commercially important for their target clients; work closely with Regional Commercial Practice team members to set up and maintain win rooms for critical interlocksProposal DeskCreate a baseline library of best proposals, demosDevelop a commercial platform with a highly curated set of demos and use cases that can be used in future proposals and client development discussionsWrite proposals directly with client heads, leveraging the BCN team support, and support elements for those proposals being led by others; writing may include creating/adapting demosCoach the team on 'perfect pitch', including critical elements to scope into the work, thinking creatively about how to define the approachUnderstand the 'best of' from our product teams, and have enough solution/product depth to connect the right teams and experts for commercial opportunitiesProduct DevelopmentProvide input to product/solution teams on innovation roadmaps, advising on elements critical to win commercially and those with little commercial value that should be stopped; serve as closed loop feedback from our client teams into the product organizationAdvise on industry/sector commercial specificity to product development sprints given experience on proposals and leveraging relationships with interlock teamsTeam LeadershipRetain and develop top-tier talent across rolesFoster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance organization.Work with relevant leadership to ensure effective performance managementProvide mentorship and guidance to team members.About YouConsulting professional at the Senior Manager or Associate Partner levelFunctional leadership experience, with a demonstrated track record of commercial successUnderstanding of and appreciation for major technology trends impacting businessU.S.
Compensation InformationCompensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, 401(k) plan with an annual employer contribution based on years of service and Bain's best in class benefits package (details listed below).RoleSome local governments in the United States require a good-faith, reasonable salary range be included in job postings for open roles.
The estimated annualized compensation for this role is as follows:In New York City, California state, Washington state and Washington D.C., the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $188,500 - $251,000 ; placement within this range will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to experience, education, licensure/certifications, training and skill levelFor all other locations, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is commensurate with competitive geographic market rates for this role and will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to experience, education, licensure/certifications, training and skill levelAnnual discretionary performance bonusThis role may also be eligible for other elements of discretionary compensation4.5% 401(k) company contribution, which increases after 3 years of service and is 100% vested upon start dateBain & Company's comprehensive benefits and wellness program is designed to help employees achieve personal independence, protection and stability in the areas most important to you and your family.Bain pays 100% individual employee premiums for medical, dental and vision programs, offering one of the most comprehensive medical plans for employees without impacting your paycheckGenerous paid time off, including parental leave, sick leave and paid holidaysFully vested 401(k) company contributionPaid Life and Long-Term Disability insuranceAnnual fitness reimbursementsIt is unlawful in Massachusetts to require or administer a lie detector test as a condition of employment or continued employment.
