About This Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to lead our data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Oracle performance tuning, data integration, and analytics solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Optimize Query and Database Performance: Analyze execution plans, recommend indexing, partitioning, and optimization strategies to meet strict service level agreements (SLAs)
* Partner with DBAs: Validate and implement tuning recommendations in collaboration with database administrators
* Lead ETL/ELT Workflows: Oversee the development, testing, and deployment of extract, transform, and load/extract, load, transform processes, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and data quality
* Leverage Cloud Services: Utilize Amazon Web Services (AWS) services such as S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda, and DMS for ingestion, transformation, and storage
* Develop and Mentor the Team: Foster technical excellence and continuous improvement within the data engineering team, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices
* Communicate Technical Decisions: Translate complex technical concepts into clear explanations for both technical and business stakeholders
Required Qualifications:
* Data Engineering Experience: 7+ years of experience in designing, developing, and implementing large-scale data engineering systems
* Oracle Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Oracle performance tuning, including query optimization, execution plans, indexes, partitioning, and parallelism
* SQL Proficiency: Hands-on experience writing and optimizing complex SQL queries
* ODI Experience: Expertise in Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)
* Data Warehousing: Experience in designing and implementing data warehouses, ETL/ELT processes, and data modeling
* Leadership Skills: Proven leadership experience, including team mentoring and technical guidance
* Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
* Language Skills: Fluent in English
Preferred Qualifications:
* AWS Experience: Hands-on experience with AWS data services, including S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda, and DMS
* Wealth Management: Prior experience working in the wealth management industry
