We are seeking skilled professionals to join our team as Manual Labor Specialists
Turing's Common Lives Project is a research initiative focused on leveraging wearable technology to enhance AI understanding of manual labor.
Responsibilities:
* Don and operate a head-mounted camera to capture daily activities for five consecutive days within a two-week timeframe.
* Record a minimum of seven hours per day, with flexibility to take breaks and pause the camera when necessary.
* Upon completion of each day, dedicate approximately two hours to uploading footage to a secure platform, reviewing short clips, and deciding whether to delete, anonymize, or consent to each video segment.
Household Requirements:
* No individuals under 18 should be present or visiting during the recording period.
* All adults residing in the space must be fluent English speakers and provide consent for being recorded.
* The living environment must be private and self-contained, such as an apartment, building, or indoor work setting.
* All household members must agree to appear in the footage.
Participant Requirements:
* Candidates must work indoors in non-customer-facing roles, such as office environments.
* Individuals sharing the same workplace or household should both wear a GoPro camera during the activity.
* A preference is given to candidates engaged in manual or creative work, including tasks like carpentry, cooking, artistry, music, electrical work, or mechanics.
* Candidates must be self-employed or have their employer's consent to record in the work environment.
* Basic computer skills are required for reviewing and uploading video clips.
Technical Requirements:
* Candidates must have access to a computer and internet connection.
* They should be comfortable using web-based tools for uploading and reviewing clips, with training provided if needed.
* A GoPro camera and all necessary accessories will be provided for the duration of the project.
