About the role
Through the aesthetic presentation of windows, mannequins and in-store displays across Boutiques, the Local Fashion Visual Merchandiser is the interface between the artistic direction of the House and the sales teams. They translate the inspiration of each collection and CHANEL’s image into visual displays, ensuring displays respect local market sensibilities while being reactive to stock availability. They bring the energy of the fashion shows to life via static displays in the Boutique, ensuring the House’s visual codes are clearly relayed and consistent, while creating a memorable journey for each client.
Responsibilities
* Implement VM guidelines, seasonal and permanent
* Create appealing visual displays and store layouts to promote new collection launches
* Coordinate with retail and logistics to plan calendar for Brazil launches
* Work with boutique managers on stock on hand (SOH) to improve sell-thru
* Produce special promotions displays such as seasonal animations
* Collaborate with the SWISS REGION and its supporters for guidance and follow-ups for the market
* Participate in department meetings to follow up on sales achievements, feedback, and strategy
* Develop a mid-to-long-term local plan for the global CSR policy regarding VM tools and materials
* Monitor costs and work within budget for VM tools, store windows, events, and special projects
* Receive global projects and guidelines for windows displays; work with local suppliers to adapt and source materials
* Coordinate with suppliers on VM seasonal boutique windows decor production per VM Calendar; ensure quality to CHANEL standards and follow up on invoicing
* Follow-up IWD and Nice platforms and Teams groups for global VM content
* Create VM reports periodically
* Support the semestral markdowns
* Contribute to the VM Community (newsletters, training, and key info)
* Train, guide, and support the VM Ambassadors team
* Ensure VM guidelines are followed consistently and in compliance with global standards
* Collaborate with training to manage VM basic knowledge material for FAs
* Support the Merchandising Coordinator on monthly rebalances
* Participate in designing and implementing a 360° fashion retail plan
Technical Knowledge and Skills
* Portuguese/Spanish and English – good written and verbal communication skills
* At least 2 years of related experience
* Self-driven, positive, and independent
* Trustworthy with a high degree of integrity and ethics
* Creative and innovative
* Experience in basic computer software and digital photography
* Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
* Passion for client experience, luxury, and beauty
