Position Summary:

Please note, the candidate for this role will need to be located in Brazil.


Reporting to the Director of Project Management, Commercialization, the LATAM Project Manager will lead and coordinate key regional initiatives, with a primary focus on Brazil. The role acts as the bridge between regional and global teams, ensuring alignment and execution. This role owns the integrated project plan and launch timeline, driving cross-functional execution and ensuring launch readiness.


Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

These may include but are not limited to:


Project Management & Execution

* Lead planning and execution of key LATAM projects (e.G., pricing dossier, market access strategy, launch readiness).
* Develop and maintain integrated project plans, timelines, and milestones.
* Track progress, identify risks, and ensure timely mitigation.
* Ensure delivery on time, within scope, and aligned with strategic priorities.


Cross-Functional Coordination

* Coordinate across functions, including Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacovigilance (PV), Medical Information, Market Access, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Clinical Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, and Quality.
* Ensure alignment between local (LATAM/Brazil) and global stakeholders.
* Facilitate effective communication and decision-making across teams.


Global–Local Interface

* Serve as the primary point of contact between LATAM and global teams.
* Translate global strategy into local execution plans.
* Provide structured updates to leadership (EIT/ELT), including risks, key decisions, and recommendations.


Strategic Support

* Support development of:
* Pricing and reimbursement strategies (CMED / CONITEC)
* Market entry and expansion plans
* Scenario planning and forecasting inputs
* Ensure alignment with regional priorities and constraints.


Governance & Reporting

* Prepare executive-level materials (e.G., executive summaries, steering committee updates).
* Establish and manage project governance cadence (weekly/bi-weekly).
* Ensure clear visibility of progress, risks, and mitigation plans.


Stakeholder & Vendor Management

* Manage interactions with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, consultants, and CROs.
* Ensure accountability, performance tracking, and delivery against scope.


Launch Planning & Timeline Management

* Develop and maintain an integrated LATAM launch timeline, mapping all key milestones and dependencies.
* Identify and actively manage the critical path, including potential rate-limiting factors (e.G., 3PL readiness).
* Ensure alignment of key milestones, including:
* ANVISA key dates
* Pricing dossier (CMED/DIP) submission
* Internal reviews (L-9, L-6, L-3)
* Launch readiness and go-live date
* Drive backward planning from the launch date, ensuring proper sequencing of all activities.
* Maintain visibility of key milestones and ensure alignment with leadership calendars.
* Proactively flag risks and implement mitigation plans.


LATAM Infrastructure & Governance

* Lead and facilitate LATAM infrastructure meetings, ensuring alignment across functions and geographies.
* Drive discussion of key operational topics, including legal entity setup, finance, HR, IT, supply chain, and compliance.
* Track action items, decisions, and follow-ups to ensure execution and accountability.
* Ensure alignment between infrastructure readiness and launch timelines.
* Escalate risks and bottlenecks to leadership as needed.


Education and Experience:

Required:


* 8 years of project management experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, ideally in cross-functional or regional/global roles.
* Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
* Strong experience in project planning, timeline management, and execution, including risk identification and mitigation.
* Solid understanding of the drug development and commercialization process (regulatory, market access, medical, and supply), without requiring deep functional expertise.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage both regional and global teams.
* Proven ability to operate in a matrix environment and drive alignment across functions.
* High level of autonomy, organization, and accountability, with a strong execution mindset.
* Experience in Latin America, preferably Brazil, is a plus.
* Fluent in English and Portuguese (Spanish is a plus).
