Collaborative Research Initiative for Musicians
As part of the Common Lives Project, we invite musicians to participate in a unique research initiative.
This project aims to capture and understand complex activities through collaborative practice or recording sessions.
* Wear a head-mounted camera to capture daily activities for 5 days within 2 weeks.
* Record at least 7 hours per day, with breaks and pauses for privacy.
* Review short clips, delete, anonymize, or consent to each video segment.
Requirements:
* No children present or visiting during recording.
* All adults must be fluent English speakers and consent to being recorded.
* Must live in a private, self-contained space.
Participant Expectations:
* Work indoors in non-customer-facing roles (e.g., chef, baker, artist).
* Must be self-employed or have employer consent to record at work.
* Able to use a computer for basic tasks like reviewing and uploading clips.
Technical Prerequisites:
* Access to a computer and internet connection.
* Comfortable using web-based tools for uploading and reviewing clips.
