Accounting Specialist Job Description

Luxoft is a top-tier Calypso Partner and market leader in implementation, integration, upgrade, and migration.

We have delivered Calypso projects across all major asset classes and sectors including investment banking, asset management, corporate treasury, and insurance.


About the Role

This is a greenfield Calypso instance support role.


Key Responsibilities:

* Establish a comprehensive and integrated approach to defining, setting up, or trouble shooting issues arising from day-to-day activities on the greenfield Calypso instance.
* Develop necessary solutions to Back Office (BO) / Accounting / Operations / Finance requirements.
* Create and deliver assigned projects / tasks and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
* Manage and establish methodology and best practice for BO / Accounting / Operations / Finance requirements.
* Ensure supporting documents are complete, current, and appropriately stored.
* Work closely with relevant business and technology stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the project(s).
* Submit status reports to stakeholders; coordinate and provide updates to steering committees.


Requirements:

1. At least 2 years of experience working in Capital Markets and on Calypso.
2. Strong knowledge of accounting principles.
3. Deep Knowledge of Financial products cross assets.
4. Proven track record of delivery of accounting and finance related solutions within Calypso.
5. Experience of adherence to governance frameworks / implementation and handover to BAU.
6. Comprehensive knowledge of trade flow, trading systems and related concepts and technology, including valuation and client/market risk management.
7. Excellent analytical skills, understanding of project life cycles, and ability to act in an entrepreneurial manner to ensure the requirements from the business are gathered in the appropriate manner.
8. Proven analytical, planning, problem solving and decision-making skills.
9. Comfortable with direct communication with all levels of technical and business resources.
10. Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
11. Experience with working in a highly collaborative and dynamic multi-team environment.
12. Mandatory Spanish language proficiency (speaking and writing).
