Respiratory Care Specialist
You will develop and implement respiratory care plans as prescribed by physicians, administering interventions such as handheld nebulizers and large volume aerosols. You will also set up and manage respiratory care equipment for invasive and noninvasive ventilation, including CPAP and BiPAP systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and adjust respiratory care plans as prescribed by the physician and supported by established protocols.
* Administer respiratory therapy interventions such as handheld nebulizers and large volume aerosols.
* Set up and manage respiratory care equipment for invasive and noninvasive ventilation, including CPAP and BiPAP systems.
* Deliver emergency respiratory treatments within the defined scope of practice, ensuring timely and effective response.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* A current Respiratory Therapist License in a relevant state.
* A Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
* A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within six months.
* Strong expertise in administering CPAP and BiPAP therapies.
* The ability to perform in emergency situations, adhering to departmental policies and scope of practice.
