Purpose
Drive new client acquisition across Marine and Cruise Logistics for Horizon Air Freight, Delver Agents. This role is key to delivering the group's growth strategy by targeting cargo vessels, tankers, bunker services, offshore platforms, shipyards, government logistics, and expedition and luxury cruise operators, as well as ship management companies and multi-brand operators.
The role will also support cross-selling across Horizon, Delver, and Swift, ensuring clients benefit from the group's full capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify, pursue, and close new business across marine and cruise verticals, focusing on cargo, offshore, tankers, government, shipyards, and luxury/expedition cruise.
* Leverage strong industry relationships to secure long-term, high-value contracts.
* Represent the group at international conferences, client meetings, and site visits (travel approx. once per month).
* Collaborate with sales ops, pricing, and marketing to develop tailored proposals, presentations, and commercial offers.
* Provide weekly pipeline reports and performance updates, including revenue forecasts and market feedback, using Excel and other group tools.
* Learn and use Salesforce, Power BI dashboards and Teams tools (training will be provided).
* Utilize Office 365 (Excel – intermediate, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word) and Adobe PDF editing to manage reporting, presentations, and internal materials.
* Contribute to cross-brand growth initiatives and help integrate Horizon, Delver, and Swift offerings for maximum client value.
* Support efforts to deepen wallet share with existing clients, ensuring we expand services and strengthen relationships alongside new client acquisition.
* Maintain a client-first, professional approach, ensuring our Group is seen as a trusted, proactive partner.
* Meet and exceed sales goals, with a target to deliver at least 4x annual compensation in gross margin contribution.
Ideal Candidate Profile
* 10+ years in senior sales or commercial roles within marine logistics, cruise logistics, freight forwarding, or related sectors.
* Strong client network across cargo vessels, tanker fleets, offshore providers, bunker suppliers, shipyards, government contractors, luxury and expedition cruise operators, and ship management firms.
* Fluent in English; additional languages such as Spanish, German, Chinese are highly valued.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel – intermediate, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word), with the ability to create metrics, budgeting sheets, and performance reports; comfortable with Teams, Adobe PDFs, and willing to learn Salesforce and Power BI dashboards.
* Understanding of marine logistics operations beyond sales, including workflows for cargo, tankers, offshore, government and cruise logistics to speak credibly about workflows and operational needs across multiple segments.
* Holds a valid passport and can travel internationally (approx. monthly).
* Open to learning new tools and methods, including data-driven approaches to sales planning and reporting.
