Overview
We are seeking a contract Business Analyst to support the development and execution of our Disaster Recovery (DR) Program. This role will help establish structure, documentation, and repeatable processes to ensure our DR efforts are organized, testable, and aligned with business needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop the overall structure and framework for the Disaster Recovery Program, including roles, responsibilities, and governance.
* Create and refine documentation such as DR runbooks, process flows, and system recovery procedures.
* Partner with technical teams to capture system dependencies, failover steps, testing requirements, and validation criteria.
* Build templates, standards, and repeatable processes to drive consistency across DR documentation.
* Coordinate project tasks, track progress, and support cross-functional alignment to ensure milestones are met.
* Facilitate workshops and gather requirements from subject-matter experts.
* Define DR test planning, evidence capture, post-test reviews, and continuous improvement activities.
* Ensure documentation aligns with internal standards and compliance requirements (e.G., SOX, SOC2).
Required Qualifications
* 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Program Coordinator, or similar role.
* Experience supporting Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, or technology resilience programs.
* Strong communication and documentation skills with the ability to translate complex technical inputs into clear, structured outputs.
* Ability to collaborate effectively with infrastructure, applications, and security teams.
* Proficiency with tools such as Confluence, Jira, Microsoft 365, and diagramming solutions.
* Advanced spoken English level (B2–C1 or higher).
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with Azure, SaaS vendor DR models, or hybrid cloud environments.
* Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SOX, SOC2, or ISO 22301.
* Prior involvement in DR tabletop exercises
