Highlights of this position
Hybrid work model, requiring two days per week in the office.
Language requirement: English fluency mandatory
Experience in deployment, administration, and security of databases, especially Oracle and PostgreSQL.
SUMMARY OF POSITION AND OBJECTIVES
You will be responsible for building and maintaining database systems, ensuring data security. Your role will also include deploying, optimizing, and troubleshooting our database management software, as well as providing quick resolutions. You will work both independently and collaboratively with Developers, IT Operations, and end users to maintain the databases. Therefore, your ability to communicate fluently in one or more database management languages will be essential for project-related analyses.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, install, configure, and maintain database systems, ensuring performance, security, and data integrity.
Implement access controls, backups, and disaster recovery plans.
Gather user requirements and monitor access and security.
Map and refine the conceptual, logical, and physical design of databases, aligning storage and accessibility.
Install and test new versions of database management systems (DBMS).
Prepare documentation, data standards, and data dictionaries (metadata).
Develop, manage, and test backup, recovery, and data archiving plans.
Perform capacity planning and performance optimization.
Work with IT managers and development teams to ensure data integrity and security.
Create and manage reports, visualizations, and dashboards.
Automate repetitive database tasks.
Be available for on-call support as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience in databases, including deployment, administration, performance optimization, backup, disaster recovery planning, and information security, with solid knowledge of database management systems such as Oracle and PostgreSQL.
Languages: fluent English (B2/C1)
Technical Knowledge: Ability to automate database administrative tasks.
Relevant database administration certifications, such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA), or Postgres Certification (CPSDBA).
Experience with cloud database technologies, such as Amazon RDS or Microsoft Azure.
Nice to have: Experience in migrating from Oracle to PostgreSQL.

Location: Indaiatuba/SP
Advanced and/or fluent English is mandatory, as the role involves working with international teams.
Work model: hybrid, with a mandatory presence in the office two days per week.
